Admission is given on the basis of merit only. Candidate must go through a series of tests before getting admission.
a) Written test
Besides academic abilities candidates General Knowledge, IQ and objectivity is also taken in consideration during Interview.
The test is taken in 4 major areas:
Every year almost 100 to 120 students participate in admission test out of which 40 to 50 percent are given admission. Many candidates are dropped due to strict merit of the institution. Result of admission tests is announced within 15 days.
The students having 14 years of Educational background including 4 years of basic course in religious institutes (Madressa) are eligible for the admission test.
Importantly 4 years of religious education from a religious institute affiliated with the board of Wafaq ul Madaris Al Shia with at least 60% marks is eligible for admission test.
♦ Candidate must go through the following course in initial 4 years, before appearing in admission test at Al Kauthar:
a) Tajweed ul Quran Application of the rules of recitation.
b) Arabic Speaking Language (Basic in first year)
c) A complete of Ahkam (Tauzeeh al Masail)
d) Basic study of Aqaed (Beliefs)
e) Detailed study of Arabic grammar, as Holy Quran and Hadith is in Arabic.
(During the course a student studies 6 different levels of grammatical rules).
f) Al Mantiq (Logic) Study of the principles and criteria of valid inference and demonstration.
