Abstract
This article examines the spiritual virtues and historical development of the
Tasbih of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (S.A.), a devotional practice deeply rooted
in Islamic tradition. Drawing on Qur’anic implications and authenticated
prophetic narrations (ahadith), the study explores the theological
significance and enduring relevance of this form of remembrance (dhikr).
Designed to be accessible yet grounded in rigorous analysis, the article
also anticipates and responds to potential objections, offering reasoned
clarifications rooted in classical sources.The Tasbih, universally regarded
as a profound spiritual gift bestowed by the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H.)
upon his daughter Fatima (S.A.), encapsulates a rich reservoir of spiritual
meaning. This concise yet powerful supplication not only serves as a tool
for divine remembrance but also fosters a deeper sense of servitude and
closeness to God, making it a cornerstone of Islamic spiritual practice.
What further underscores its significance is its widespread acceptance
across Islamic denominations. References to the Tasbih appear in both
Sunni and Shia hadith and historical literature, indicating a shared reverence
that transcends sectarian lines. As such, the Tasbih of Lady Fatima (S.A.)
emerges as a unifying element in Islamic devotional life, emblematic of the
broader ethical and spiritual values that define Islamic piety.
