Abstract
Abstract
This paper examines the concept of divine guidance as articulated in the
Qur’an and Nahj al-Balagha, emphasizing the complementary roles of the
Holy Qur’an and the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), together with his Ahl al-
Bayt (A.S.), as two enduring sources of spiritual illumination and direction.
Drawing upon Qur’anic verses, Hadith al-Thaqalayn, and the profound
insights contained in Nahj al-Balagha, the study presents Imam Ali (A.S.)
as both the closest companion to the Qur’an and its most authoritative
interpreter, thereby embodying the vital connection between divine
revelation and lived guidance. The paper argues that authentic guidance,
as intended by Allah, is both textual—manifested through the Qur’an—and
exemplary—expressed through the infallible teachings and practices of the
Prophet and his purified Household. It concludes that lasting spiritual clarity
and salvation depend upon steadfast adherence to both the Divine Book
and its divinely appointed interpreters, who collectively illuminate the path
