Abstract
Abstract
The necessity and significance of religion is an undeniable reality that
cannot be disregarded. The Holy Quran and rational reasoning both stress
the importance of believing in a religion as a fundamental need of every
human being. This need is not born out of fear or ignorance, but rather it is
an inherent part of human nature. Without religion, it is impossible to have
a stable individual and social life.
The Quran highlights the importance of religion as a guide for individuals
and communities, providing spiritual guidance and a moral framework
that promotes virtues such as justice, compassion, and honesty. It also
emphasizes the significance of community cohesion through shared
religious practices and values, fostering unity among believers. From
a rational reasoning perspective, religion is recognized as an essential
ethical foundation that influences decision-making in personal and societal
contexts.
In essence, the Quran and rational reasoning converge in emphasizing
the multifaceted importance of religion in addressing the spiritual, moral,
communal, and rational needs of individuals and societies. This article
describes the need for religion with reference to the verses of the Holy
Quran and rational reasoning.
